Calvary

Traditional arrangement by Cecil Bridgewater for String Quartet.

 From an old spiritual by the same name. With an awakening of an old song. Arranged for each individual player within the quartet.  The first part is a traditional New Orleans style featuring the 1st violinist, the second features the violist in an up tempo mood, the third section is for the celloist in an up tempo mood and the fourth is for the 2nd violinist in a somber, slow mood.
